By the grace of Allah, Milton Keynes Jamaat had a blessed opportunity to hold a One Day Quran course on 2nd April 2017. The event presented an excellent opportunity to learn Tajweed rules and improve the quality of reading Holy Quran. One Day Course was designed and conducted by National Secretary Taleem-ul-Quran Hafiz Fazle Rabbi Sahib and his team. The course was designed in a way that everyone should benefit from the course, beginners to proficient readers of the Holy Quran.

58 members attended the one day course; additionally 66 people watched the LIVE stream via YouTube. Hafiz Fazli Rabbi Sahib conducted the course with the help of Aman Khan Sahib and Moeed Hamid Sahib.

The event was scheduled for six hours, from 2PM to 8PM. The Milton Keynes Jamaat offered congregational Zuhar and Asr prayers and then the formal proceedings of the One day Quran course begun with Tilawat.  After Tilawat was done by Mohammad Attaul Mohsin sahib, Regional Missionary Mujeeb Ahmad Mirza Sahib explained the need and importance of learning Quran and he gave a brief introduction of the scholarly team, who had travelled from London to Milton Keynes to conduct the course.

The Team introduced 20 most common mistakes done by average reader of the Holy Quran and taught the correct pronunciation to male and female members. We were glad to note the active participation and a lot questions from Lajna, Khudam, Atfal and Ansar.

People of different background shared their experience how they initially learned the Holy Quran and then Hafiz Fazle Rabbi sb educated them about the correct pronunciation. The participants were enlightened to note how the meanings can change with a slight change in the pronunciation. The team would read the correct pronunciation and then the participants were required to repeat to ensure that they have learnt the correct articulation. After understanding how to avoid the 20 most common mistakes all the participants were requested to read at least two Ayat from the Holy Quran. This provided an exceptional opportunity to get personalized feedback from Hafiz Fazle Rabbi Sahib for each reader. Every reader was told about his/her strengths or the areas to focus to improve the quality of reading.

All the participants felt the importance of learning the correct pronunciation and felt as if this is a new beginning, fresh start to learn the correct pronunciation. The biggest achievement of the day was the realization that we all need to work hard to read correctly, understand the meanings of Quran and then apply it to the day-to-day life. The Milton Keynes Jamaa’t will continue this journey by teaching Quran in weekly Tarbiyati Ijlas and one to one coaching.

Hafiz Fazle Rabbi Sahib explained the resources available to all the Ahmadies to learn the correct pronunciation. Copies of specially printed Tashilul-Quran were distributed free of cost to all the attendees. People purchased Tahsinul-Quran for a very small fee. Additionally the online Quran learning resources were highlighted and the registration process was explained. Indeed what a noble way to distribute the knowledge of wealth highlighted by the Promised Mesiah and Khulafae Ahmadiyyat.

Warm appreciation and congratulations goes to Secretary Talim ul Quran Milton Keynes, Jawad Butt Sahib, Secretary Sami Basri and Ziafat, Rizwan Ayub Sahib and everyone who assisted on the event in the pre-planning and also on the day, without their active support this would have not been a success. Special thanks to all the attendees for raising the relevant important questions and helping every one learn.

It was a great blessed day for the Milton Keynes Jamaa’t, the very first time MK Jamaa’t offered four congregational prayers in one day. Alhamdulillah – The course concluded with silent prayer lead by Hafiz Fazle Rabbi Sb. The participants enjoyed the dinner and then Hafiz Fazle Rabbi Sb lead the Magrib and Isha Namaz. Milton Keynes Jamaa’t is thankful to National Secretary Taleem and his team for conducting this beneficial course.
